Volt 4P Max Studio Set – Four Preamps, Start With the Lead Vocal

The flagship Volt records a band take or a four-voice podcast; this set starts it with the mic that matters most - a quiet NT1 condenser for the lead vocal - plus closed headphones and a proper boom stand. Add more mics as the room fills.

In This Setup

• Universal Audio Volt 4P Max – 12-in/6-out USB-C interface with four Tone Shaping Preamps, each with Max Processing compression; Main/Alt speaker switching, talkback, two headphone outputs, ADAT, MIDI and a USB hub; power supply included.
• Rode NT1 5th Gen – large-diaphragm condenser with 4 dBA self-noise and both XLR and USB-C outputs (32-bit float USB recording); SM6 shock mount with pop filter, 6 m XLR and 3 m USB-C cables in the box.
• Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X – closed-back STELLAR.45 headphones at 48 ohms, so they run loud from an interface; detachable mini-XLR cable, made in Germany.
• K&M 210/2 – the classic boom stand: 90-160.5 cm height, 80 cm boom arm and folding legs.

Why This Combination

• Four identical preamps: channel 4 sounds like channel 1, each with its own tone and compression.
• Lead vocal first: the NT1 brings its own shock mount, pop filter and cables.
• Closed for tracking: the DT 770 Pro X keeps playback out of the mic in the same room.

Set price includes all four products.
